The Mayor of Okayama, Japan, specially met with Lin Jiaqi, Cui Enchong and Zhu Xiong Renbo, students from the Ying Japanese Department of Chung Hua University at the end of last month, and expressed his affirmation and encouragement to them to study abroad despite the epidemic.

It has been more than 18 years since Okayama City and Hsinchu City in Japan became sister cities, and each year they send students to each other to visit and exchange. It has also been 13 years since Chung Hua University and Sanyo Gakuen University in Okayama City became sister schools, and the two schools have cooperated for many years and is committed to promoting students' short-term exchanges, exchange study abroad, double-degree study abroad and overseas internships and other activities.

In this regard, Jian Xiaohua, dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of Chung Hua University, pointed out that in response to the long-term promotion of international exchanges by the Japanese department, it actively strives for the plan of the Ministry of Education every year to subsidize students to study abroad and do internships. Jian Xiaohua said that both the Okayama City Government and Sanyo Gakuen University are places for Chung Hua University students to study in Japan. He hoped that in the future, more students will strive for opportunities to go abroad to expand their international horizons.
