CHU's College of Tourism and the Union of Filipino Tourism Educators (UFTE) jointly hosted the "ASEAN International Tourism Education Research Conference (ITECRC)," bringing together participants from 23 Philippine universities and 3 companies, as well as students from Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, and Jordan. 14 Philippine schools signed cooperation and exchange agreements with CHU. Distinguished guests including Chen Hui-jun, Secretary of Hsinchu City Government's City Marketing Department; Tsai Yi-fang, Section Chief of Hsinchu County Government's Transportation and Tourism Department; Professor David Hind, Chair Professor at CHU and Chairman of the Asia-Pacific International Events Management Association (APIEM); and Chou Shao-yuan, Secretary-General of the Hsinchu Enterprise Managers Association, along with Secretary Chang Wan-ching, witnessed this new milestone in international cooperation.

CHU President Dr. Victor Liu noted that international cooperation is not only about academic exchange but also creates opportunities for students to experience cross-border learning and cultural experiences. Through this conference, students will be able to participate in short-term study abroad programs and bilateral exchanges, enhancing their English proficiency and international perspective while connecting with Southeast Asia's tourism industry, laying the foundation for future workplace competitiveness.

UFTE, established 25 years ago, is the most influential organization in the Philippine tourism education sector. Choosing to partner with CHU to host this international conference symbolizes the shared vision of both parties in tourism education and sustainable tourism development. Chang Hsin-wen, Dean of CHU's College of Tourism, stated that the school has actively promoted international exchange for many years, establishing sister school relationships with universities in the UK, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan, and South Korea. Through the APIEM platform, the school has obtained 5-star talent cultivation and teaching certification, continuously strengthening international teaching quality.

CHU has long been committed to cultivating tourism professionals with international perspectives. In the future, it will continue to expand overseas exchange programs and introduce more international resources, allowing students to not only learn professional knowledge but also personally experience cross-cultural exchange and industry practice. Through international conferences, overseas internships, and short-term study abroad programs, students will strengthen their language abilities and professional skills, develop global competitiveness, and become international leaders driving innovation and sustainable development in the tourism industry.
