The International Campus and Chung Hua Academy of CHU jointly hosted a Halloween costume activity, inviting professional makeup teachers for on-site instruction and encouraging international students to incorporate cultural elements from their home countries into creative costumes. They participated alongside Taiwanese students in parades, interactive games, and the "Night Market of One Hundred Demons" experience, demonstrating the campus's multicultural diversity and student vitality.
The event was meticulously planned by Chung Hua Academy, combining three major features: "creative costumes, cultural fusion, and interactive experiences," with an enthusiastic atmosphere. Under the guidance of makeup teachers, students designed terrifying yet artistic looks, from special effects wound makeup to zombie appearances, demonstrating remarkable creativity. After completing their makeup, students wore self-made costumes to participate in the parade and uploaded photos to social media platforms, showcasing their personal style and cultural characteristics with lively online and offline interaction.
Vietnamese student Nguyen Bo Gueh expressed: "This is my first time participating in a Halloween activity. Although I wasn't familiar with it, I felt the school's abundant care and met friends from different countries. It felt novel and unforgettable." Indonesian student Te-Jen Li shared: "Indonesia doesn't often celebrate Halloween. This activity allowed me to experience Taiwan's warmth and creativity." Taiwanese student Yi-Wei Tseng also stated: "Through costume creation and exchange, I met classmates from various countries and experienced CHU's multicultural atmosphere."
The event concluded with "Night Market of One Hundred Demons" booths, integrating Taiwanese night market culture with Halloween elements, allowing students to experience local culture during the festival. Through this activity, CHU not only helped international students experience the joy of the festival but also demonstrated thoughtful care and cultural cultivation of students, continuing to create a friendly, open, and diverse learning environment.
