2025-08-25 │ Secretariat’s Office CHU held the "Academic Year 114 New Student Parent Orientation" on the 24th, attracting over 300 new student parents with enthusiastic participation. The venue was packed and the atmosphere was lively. President Victor Liu personally hosted the presentation, providing parents with a detailed introduction to the school's educational achievements and future development direction, particularly emphasizing that "Generative AI Learning" has become the core highlight of the university's teaching innovation, demonstrating CHU's forward-looking vision in digital transformation and interdisciplinary talent development.

President Liu pointed out that CHU was selected as a "Microsoft Forward-Looking Talent Cultivation Full Partnership University," where all faculty and students can obtain Microsoft AI international certifications for free, and through innovative tools such as the "Generative AI Teaching Assistant CoursePilot," enhance learning efficiency and teaching quality. The curriculum design comprehensively incorporates AI application elements, from speech recognition and smart manufacturing to tourism corpus systems, covering five major colleges, allowing students to implement AI technology in their respective specialties and strengthen interdisciplinary integration capabilities.

The presentation also showcased students' achievements in applying generative AI to participate in various competitions, including winning multiple major awards in the "2025 TSC Marketing Awards," known as the Oscars of Taiwan's marketing academia, and outstanding performance in the "2025 National Creative Ideas Marketing Competition," demonstrating that AI learning has been deeply embedded in students' innovative practices and has become an important tool for enhancing competitiveness.

Beyond AI learning, President Liu also emphasized the school's emphasis on student career development. CHU cooperates with the Ministry of Labor to establish the "Career Center for You," providing diverse services such as workplace experience, employment matching, and career counseling, helping students accumulate practical experience during their studies, enabling graduation to lead to employment and high-paying careers.

CHU continues to be student-centered, combining industry trends with international perspectives to cultivate future talents with AI application capabilities and interdisciplinary integration skills. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education has approved the merger plan between CHU and NTHU. Students will graduate from their original campus and school, with diplomas issued by CHU; however, they can share NTHU's courses and library resources, making learning opportunities more diverse and enriching, opening broader learning and development horizons for students.
