2025-03-18│ Secretariat’s Office According to data from the Institute for Information Industry, 28% of Taiwan's manufacturing industry has implemented AI, with 46% in the planning stage. CHU's five colleges all offer AI-related courses and collaborate with renowned tech companies in the science park to build career advantages for students, with graduate salaries increasing year by year! Additionally, with NTHU's Semiconductor College soon to establish a presence, it will inject even more abundant resources for the university, cultivating more high-quality, high-salary technology talent for the industry.

Photo/ The micro-program established last year by CHU and MSI Technology has had 75 student enrollments, with 6 students successfully entering workplace internships; through abundant government and industry resources, creating internship and employment opportunities for students. With the flourishing development of artificial intelligence (AI), related departments such as Computer Science and Optoelectronics have become among the most promising choices for future university students. This may cause hesitation for students who want to pursue liberal arts, business, or other non-science and engineering fields. In response, CHU offers AI-related courses across all colleges and departments, promoting 335 AI-related courses, as well as free "Microsoft AI International Certification Training Camps" for faculty and students to take exams at zero cost. Anyone entering CHU, whether from liberal arts or science backgrounds, can integrate artificial intelligence into their professional field to deepen their learning! This ensures that AI is no longer a "privilege" of science and engineering fields and helps students greatly "boost their salaries" in the workplace.

According to internal data, from the 2020-2021 to 2023-2024 academic years, student employment rates ranged between 88% and 97%, with more than half of the departments' salaries higher than the average for public universities. Additionally, from 2020 to 2024, the proportion of students earning over NT$40,000 three years after graduation has been increasing annually, now exceeding 70%. Multiple indicators show that CHU's years of dedication to AI have yielded significant results, making it a genuine "employment-oriented university" with high employment rates, high employer satisfaction, and high salaries.

CHU’s President Victor Liu stated that the school focuses on cultivating talent for various industries, creating internship and employment opportunities for students through government and industry resources. For example, the College of Information and Electrical Engineering established a micro-program with MSI Technology last year, with a total of 75 student enrollments and currently 6 students successfully entering workplace internships. The College of Intelligence received Ministry of Education funding for the "Artificial Intelligence Technology and Application Series Courses" project, training numerous GAI talents. The College of Tourism was selected as an ITSA Ministry of Education Smart Innovation Key Talent Cultivation Demonstration School, leading students in interdisciplinary AI learning. Both the College of Management and the College of Architecture offer data analysis, Python, and related programs to strengthen students' academic applications in artificial intelligence.

In an era swept by the AI revolution, besides enjoying the regional geographic advantage of proximity to the Hsinchu Science Park, Chung Hua University students will gain more diverse and abundant learning resources with the establishment of National Tsing Hua University's Semiconductor College. Students can freely select credit programs offered by NTHU (obtaining program certification upon completion), seizing opportunities to strengthen workplace competitiveness and seamlessly transition to high-salary employment!
