[March 15th 2025] CHU Celebrates Its 35th Anniversary with a Grand Event! Embracing a New Milestone: "Returning to Our Roots, Embracing a Brilliant Future"
2025-03-15│ Secretariat’s Office CHU held a grand celebration for its 35th anniversary today (March 15). The event featured a vibrant carnival-like atmosphere with a variety of activities, including a lively fair, club performances, fun games, and street artist shows. The campus was bustling with students, faculty, alumni, and distinguished guests from both within and outside the university, showcasing the youthful energy and vitality of CHU.

Marking its 35th year, the university adopted the theme "Returning to Our Roots, Embracing a Brilliant Future," symbolizing its long-standing commitment to nurturing talent for society. With excellent teaching environments and resources, CHU has cultivated countless outstanding individuals across various industries. Looking ahead, the planned merger with NTHU is expected to further enhance the cultivation of highly skilled professionals, injecting new energy into society. To recognize the contributions of faculty, staff, and students, the university presented awards such as Outstanding Alumni and Long-Serving Faculty and Staff, acknowledging their efforts in making CHU an extraordinary institution.

In line with this year's anniversary theme, CHU President Victor Liu outlined future goals. He emphasized the importance of focusing on generative AI education in the short term, promoting AI courses across all departments to strengthen students' skills and enhance their employability. In the long term, the merger with NTHU is expected to bring more resources to the university, benefiting both current students and alumni. Alumni will also have the opportunity to return to their alma mater to attend credit programs offered by NTHU, fostering smart education and learning for a win-win outcome.
