2025-01-20│ Secretariat’s Office As the year draws to a close, to ensure every household can enjoy a good New Year, CHU's international students have assisted the Hsinchu Emergency Association for the third consecutive year before Chinese New Year, distributing thousands of packages containing rice, canned goods, and other supplies to give back to the community. Their active participation in public welfare shows that "Taiwan's most beautiful scenery" knows no borders!

Amy Chuang, Head of Student Affairs at CHU's International Division, mentioned that since some economically disadvantaged students previously received help from the Emergency Association, faculty and students have embraced the spirit of "returning kindness with flowing springs." They have participated in the "Winter Warmth Distribution Event" for three consecutive years, actively helping families in need. This year, 18 students from Malaysia, Vietnam, and Taiwan participated. Students helped elderly residents load heavy supplies filled with love onto vehicles and learned to express care for the elderly, spreading love and positive energy throughout society!

Chi-Hsiong Fu, an architecture student who has participated for two consecutive years, said that he found it meaningful from his first year of participation. Everyone uses their spare time to serve the disadvantaged and give back to society. Seeing the joy on people's faces brings spiritual fulfillment, and whether he stays in Taiwan or returns to Malaysia in the future, he will continue to engage in public welfare and help society!

Ching Chu RuenHuang, a Vietnamese MBA student participating for the first time, pointed out that serving people not only provides an opportunity to show gratitude to Taiwan but also allows them to meet new friends through activities. Maintaining a spirit of selfless service to help those in need is both positive and meaningful. Campus life isn't just about academic learning; moral education is equally important. This opportunity achieves local care objectives and fulfills social responsibilities, making everyone feel very happy!

Ching-Ling Hsu, Executive Director of the Hsinchu Emergency Association, said she was initially worried that the continued cold and wet weather would make it difficult for elderly residents to go out. Unexpectedly, the day of the activity was sunny, perhaps because heaven was pleased to see the school and enterprises helping without discrimination! They feel fortunate to have continued help from the younger generation. CHU is the only academic institution providing assistance, and these passionate "CHU young warriors" have greatly reduced the association's burden. They hope to continue this exchange in the future and keep the "cycle of kindness" going!
