[July 29th 2024]CHU Selected as One of the Top 30 Private Universities in Taiwan by Global Views monthly Magazine, Continuing to Deepen AI Education and Academic Capabilities!

Global View Monthly recently announced its Taiwan University Rankings, with CHU selected as one of the top 30 private universities in Taiwan, improving by 3 positions compared to last year. To highlight diverse values and ensure fair comparison, Global View monthly divided the single ranking list into groups based on school attributes, then ranked them according to performance, creating 37 separate lists. CHU is capitalizing on its proximity to nearby science parks and will continue to deepen AI education and academic capabilities to cultivate more high-quality talent for the industry!
Global View Monthly outlined six major transformation genes worth noting in this year's rankings. Transformation Gene 6, "Specialized Schools Rise to the Top," points out that after the widespread establishment of universities, to stand out among over 150 universities, schools need to focus on specialized education rather than just size. Thus, many schools aim for "high scores in specific subjects" rather than "high scores across all subjects" to highlight their educational characteristics. As the private university closest to Hsinchu Science Park, CHU has partnered with Microsoft to establish an AI+ Experience Center, enabling interdisciplinary learning for all students. Through the "Science Park Cultivation Plan," CHU arranges learning paths for exploration, analysis, practice, and internships, allowing students to enter Hsinchu Science Park for learning during their four years of university, enhancing their competitiveness early on for successful high-paying employment after graduation! In this new era of technology with the AI wave, CHU leads students to "secure positions" in the tech circle with its unique teaching model in Taiwan.

In addition to introducing AI teaching features, CHU has ranked first for four consecutive years (2020-2023) in the average number of approved projects per faculty member in the Ministry of Education's "Teaching Practice Research Project." This year, faculty members submitted 64 projects, with 23 projects approved, reaching a record high of 14 approved projects per 100 faculty members. The project categories cover USR, engineering, business management, social sciences, general education, humanities and arts, design, and daily life, demonstrating the faculty's enthusiasm for teaching practice research and ambition to improve teaching. The university hopes to cultivate high-quality talent needed by society by deepening students' knowledge and literacy!
