The China Technology Association, along with Academician Lijun Chen from Academia Sinica, who serves as the president of the United University System and former president of Tsinghua University, recently visited CHU's AI+ Experience Center and Metaverse Experience Center to assess the feasibility of developing a national-level AI demonstration site. They sought to understand CHU's profound strength in developing artificial intelligence technology! CHU has achieved excellent results in popularizing AI learning, with 99.9% of students taking AI-related courses. The university's AI development spans diverse fields such as art, food, religious culture, tourism, and more. This impressed Academician Lijun Chen, who praised it as "close to an ideal AI demonstration site!"

CHU’s Vice President Dr. Kun-Ming Yu stated that the university has been developing artificial intelligence ahead of time since eight years ago, attempting to apply it across various fields. In 2018, they joined hands with Microsoft Taiwan to establish the "AI+ Experience Center", attracting experts, teachers, and students from all sectors to make appointments for visits, with over 4,000 people having visited and provided guidance to date. CHU actively encourages each college to offer AI professional courses, with a total of 121 cross-domain courses now available. As the number of students taking these courses rises each year, the enrollment rate even reached 99.9% in the second semester of the 2022 academic year. The AI+ Experience Center also offers a "Microsoft AI International Certification Training Camp" for students to obtain certifications for free. A total of 1,411 faculty and students have been certified, with an average school-wide certification rate of 81.23% over the past three years. Yun-Xuan Chen, the Executive Director of the AI+ Experience Center, also stated that in 2021, Chung Hua University established Taiwan's first "Metaverse Experience Center", allowing students to experience AR and VR smart glasses, immersing themselves in the Hsinchu City God Temple, virtually traveling to Southeast Asia, and experiencing semiconductor processes in the metaverse. These interactive experiences sparked students' interest in artificial intelligence technology, leading to self-directed and lifelong learning objectives. By applying AI technology in the learning domain, they aim to promote self-improvement and industrial development!

CHU Vice President Dr. Kun-Ming Yu pointed out that he is very grateful to the experts and scholars for giving them the opportunity to receive guidance during their visit.
