With the booming development of the tech industry, becoming a high-paid employee in a tech company after graduation has become the goal for many students. In light of this, CHU's College of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering has partnered with the renowned company Micro-Star International to launch the "Software and Hardware Talent Cultivation Industry-Academia Collaboration Program." Through establishing the "Micro-Star International Micro-Degree Program," they encourage students to enroll. During enrollment, students can receive generous scholarships. After completing the courses, Micro-Star International will recruit outstanding graduates as full-time employees. This allows students to land a job right after graduation!

As the private university closest to the Hsinchu Science Park, CHU has been actively conducting industry-academia collaborations with tech companies over the years, bringing many internship and job opportunities to its students. Dean of the College of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, Dr. Chien-Chang Lien noticed the industry's development trends since last July and has been proactively discussing potential collaborations with Micro-Star International. Recently, the two parties finalized the planning for the "Micro-Star International Micro-Degree Program," which includes curriculum planning for the Linux Software Professional Class and ARM Base Hardware Professional Class, as well as mechanisms for internships at Micro-Star. Dean Lien said taking these courses can help students understand the workplace environment early on and gain valuable hands-on experience through team-based project work. Regarding this, Micro-Star International's General Manager Kimson Huang attaches great importance to this collaboration and has specifically instructed his team to provide scholarships to encourage CHU students to enroll, contributing to the joint cultivation of specialized talent for the future industry.

The "Micro-Star International Micro-Degree Program" is scheduled to launch in 2024. Freshmen to junior students will focus on required professional courses, while seniors will concentrate on project implementation. This industry-academia collaboration fully demonstrates the highlights of integrating corporate resources with CHU's curriculum. At the same time, it further assists college students with internships and career planning. It is hoped that students can accumulate comprehensive capabilities before graduation, gaining an edge at the starting line!
