To deepen international academic exchange and broaden global perspectives, INSPIRE Collab 2026 – From Connection to Co-Creation: Catalysing Interdisciplinary Action was co-hosted by CHU and its sister school in Malaysia, Raffles University. Held online, the event attracted 229 scholars and researchers from 12 countries: Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Cambodia, Singapore, the Philippines, Australia, India, Mainland China, Morocco, South Korea, and Pakistan. Through sharing research findings, interdisciplinary dialogue, and collaborative exchange, participants explored opportunities for academic innovation and research cooperation. The event not only helped build international academic networks, but also demonstrated CHU's active efforts to promote global connections and internationalization.

During the conference, Assistant Professor Chia-Hsiang Hsieh of the university's College of Management was invited to speak in the "Future Business, Entrepreneurship & Social Transformation" session, where he presented research using a Hybrid MCDM approach to build a structural evaluation model for self-media business models. The study focuses on important topics such as digital business models, entrepreneurial innovation, and organizational transformation. It resonates with global trends in the digital economy and drew strong interest from attending scholars. After the session, several international scholars reached out to discuss research perspectives and exchange contact information, and began discussing directions for future collaboration, laying a solid foundation for subsequent cross-border research cooperation and academic exchange.

INSPIRE Collab 2026 took "from connection to co-creation" as its central theme, aiming to spark innovative thinking through interdisciplinary collaboration and to respond to global challenges together. The event covered a wide range of fields, including human-centered well-being and inclusive communities, healthcare and medical innovation, sustainable environment and culture, creativity and digital design, educational innovation, future business and social transformation, and smart systems and engineering. Through themed exchanges and group discussions, it encouraged scholars from different professional backgrounds to build collaborative relationships, further advancing joint research, international grant applications, and cross-disciplinary innovation. The event is also an important result of the renewed partnership between CHU and Raffles University, continuing to deepen their international academic partnership and expand their global cooperation network.

International academic exchange is not only an important platform for sharing research findings, but also a key pathway to developing globally competitive talent. CHU has long been committed to promoting internationalized education, encouraging faculty and students to step onto the world stage through sister-school partnerships, cross-border research projects, and diverse international exchange activities, thereby strengthening cross-cultural communication skills and international mobility. Going forward, the university will continue to deepen its cooperation with international partners and create a richer global learning environment, cultivating a new generation of talent with professional expertise, innovative thinking, and an international perspective.
