Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation in the Philippines, which is also a four-star member of the Asia Pacific Exhibitions and Conventions Association (APIEM) like CHU, recently visited CHU for exchanges. Teachers and students from its International School of Hotel and Tourism Management toured CHU’s history room, SDG exhibition, and Jiashin Camellia Garden, the biggest camellia garden in northern Taiwan. Deeply moved by CHU’s high-quality and friendly campus environment, the professors expressed that they "look forward to becoming CHU's seventh sister school in the Philippines."

To promote exchanges between APIEM overseas members, 56 teachers and students from the International School of Hotel and Tourism Management of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation in Lucena City, Philippines, recently visited CHU specifically for exchanges with teachers and students from CHU's College of Tourism through campus tours. Led by CHU's teachers and students from the College of Tourism, they toured the campus and surroundings. The Philippine students were amazed by the museum's technology-integrated virtual-reality displays and eye-catching past achievements of CHU students. They interacted enthusiastically with CHU teachers and students throughout.

Denmark H. Catan, a professor at the International School of Hotel and Tourism Management of the Foundation, said that he hopes to build a bridge of friendship through exchanges with foreign universities to become good partners. On the other hand, it is also to broaden students' international horizons and improve campus education quality by establishing contacts with overseas universities. He felt very touched to have the opportunity to visit CHU and was glad to see such a beautiful university campus. He looks forward to the day when they can become CHU's seventh sister school in the Philippines.

David Hind, the chairman of the Asia Pacific Exhibitions and Conventions Association (APIEM) and CHU's chair professor, has long been committed to promoting professional activity education management standards and practices. APIEM is headquartered in the UK with partner networks across the globe. CHU's College of Tourism is the association's only four-star member in Taiwan. Not only has it established Taiwan's first exhibition talent elite training center, but in 2020 it also obtained APIEM International Centre of Excellence qualifications to promote internationalization of the university and enhance students' international competitiveness through transnational education exchanges and EMI (English as medium of instruction) with the association!
