A total of 7 works from the Department of Architecture & Urban Planning and Department of Industrial Design of Chung Hua University have been shortlisted for the 2022 German Red Dot Design Concept Award, and the organizers will announce the winning works in this coming July.  

These 7 works include the following: two-in-one feeding baby bottle-「Niuni」, two-in-one 「CRADoRSE」（Cradle+Horse） bed, interactive lighting teaching aids-「Focus & Attention」, smart「CURTAIN LIGHT」, electric scooter for sitting and straddle-「DNR」（Destruction & Rebirth）, speech exchange base and library buildings-「Serendipity Variety」, and 「Xinfeng Library」.

The German Red Dot Design Award is currently one of the largest and most influential design competitions in the world. Together with the German iF Design Award, the American International Design Excellence Award, and the Japan Good Design Award, it is listed as one of the four major international design competitions in the world. The German Red Dot Design Award has three awards, including the Red Dot Product Design Award, the Red Dot Brand and Communication Design Award, and the Red Dot Design Concept Award. In the past, a student from the Department of Industrial Design of Chung Hua University won the 2018 Red Dot Concept Design Award for his work "Temporary Shelter", which can provide temporary disaster shelter.
